Schooly Stuff:

I ran the mile yesterday. My time was 8:31,  which has SO improved since last year (I got 10:40something :O )

I’ve been working on stuff that’s a level ahead of my math class lately, which is good because I find our topics in class kind of boring, having done them already & whatnot.

Oh, and my Language Arts teacher is AWESOME. I’ll have pics of one of my assignments soon. It’s pretty cool.  ^__^

Purpose

When I was younger, I was never bored. Never restless. But now . . .? Things have changed. I’m restless and bored.

I have things to do, of course. Schoolwork. Chores. Blogging. Writing. But I don’t feel compelled to do them anymore. I know it’s not laziness, because even the things I love doing don’t make me feel full.

Maybe I’ve lost my purpose.

People have many views about purpose. “Your purpose is to do well in school.” “Your purpose is to glorify God.” Your purpose, your purpose . . .

That’s great and all, but I don’t want my whole life to be about getting good grades or singing hymns. I should probably care more, especially about that last one.

WRITING:

For school, my ELA class was told to write something that will blow our teacher away. (We had a sub that day) So I came up with this story idea, and though I don’t think I’ll be continuing it (or posting it on here) I was very happy when my teacher praised me for my story after I read it out to the class. (One kid reached for a box of tissues, lol) Oh, and in case you were wondering, it was a sad story. ( WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH THIS BLOGGING COMMUNITY AND SAD STORIES???  SERIOUSLY, SOMEONE GIVE ME AN EXPLANATION.)

Stray Cat

I love cats. They’re adorable, make the cutest little mews, and yeeeeeaaaaaaahhh….

As you might have been able to tell, this cat had a wound on the side of its face. ;'(

Storytime! When I woke up, I stepped out of the house, careful not to wake my cousins. 😉 Sitting in the bushes was a little cat, an adorable one, at that! It mewed upon seeing me and crept towards the house. I carefully avoided it (after all, it was a stray) and ran to grab the camera. I spent FOREVER trying to get the cat to look at me, but it kept meowing and crawling under the car- no doubt because it was scared. Eventually, though, I timed the photo perfectly. The result? 

This is the BEST animal picture I’ve EVER taken. ♥♥

A Spiderweb.

The LAST category for BIBPC is here (shiny), and I haven’t been able to post a lot of entries lately, but here’s one- I hope you like it!!!

This is my entry: 
Story: I was outside trying to get photos for another post, when I saw this spiderweb that was stretched between our bird feeder and the leaves underneath. It looked so cool, but it was so early in the morning that the sun wasn’t even all the way up. So the initial few shots didn’t show the spiderweb well enough and the lighting just wasn’t good. I was disappointed, so continued taking pictures for the post. When the sun came up, the rays shone even more and sort of lit up the web. I was done taking pictures by now, but the web-it looked beautiful. I snapped some photographs and was extremely pleased this time! As you can see, it’s very shiny and kind of reflects the light of the sun. 🙂

Does anyone else think that it looks like a fingerprint, like, if you dipped your finger in white paint and then put it on black paper? 😛 I also love this one. ♥
