A Day in The Life of A Public Schooler

Read all about it @ redheadwithabook

I’ve been thinking about this for a long time.  Most bloggers that I follow are homeschoolers.  They often post things I could never even begin to understand, since I am a public schooler.  True this was a tad on the dramatic side, but who really cares?  It was fun to write.

So I decided to make a post about an Average day here at school…

8:00~Free For All

You slam your backpack down on the side of your classroom, kicking other student’s to the side, piling up.  You nervously creep up to the blacktop, and scan it with burning eyes, searching for your friends.

You saw their backpacks by their classes, so you knew they were here.

You dart in between an intense four square game, getting scolded by a fifth grader, who tries to kick you.

Then, you sprint across a the basketball court, while the players are…

Wreck This Journal: Week 1

Hey guys! I recently got Wreck This Journal, which I’ve been wanting for quite some time now. All the activities look super fun and I cant wait to do them. Here’s what I’ve done so far:FullSizeRender 24.jpg

I can tell I’m going to do this ALL THE TIME when I get bored.

Here’s what I did:IMG_8885

Put the rolled-up paper in a plastic cup:IMG_8888

Then poured cold water all over it. The cup is currently sitting in my freezer… I’ll share a photo with my next Wreck This Journal post! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

The Sunshine Blogger Award

Tagged by Audrey from Please Just One More Page

Thanks so much for the nomination, Audrey! I’m so excited to do this tag!

What’s your shoe size?

7 and 1/2.

Do you watch Once Upon a Time? (SAY YES SO I CAN FANGIRL WITH YOU)

Nope. Sorry.

What kind of writing utensil do you prefer?

A pencil for writing stories so I can go back and erase all my random idiocy that I made up at 1:00 AM because I couldn’t sleep. But pens are great for taking notes and stuff.

If you had to dye your hair a unnatural color, what color would you choose?

A tealish blue, and I would only dye the tips.

Quick, look to your left! What’s the first thing you see?

The TV and souvenirs from family vacations.

What kind of pants are you wearing?

Sweatpants. 😜

If you had to become anyone else in the world, who would you be?

Emma Watson! She is a role model to me in SO many different ways:

She’s intelligent, can stand up for herself and women’s rights, and she’s a talented actress and singer.

 What’s the meaning of life?

Sorry for that mushy, applesauce-y moment. 😛

Why did you start blogging?

I wanted to share my thoughts and projects with people around the world!

If you had to describe the color yellow to a blind person, what would you say?

That it’s cheerful, bright, uplifting, pretty, soft.

Google or Bing? (I know what you’re going to say, Megan.)

Google. I hate Bing.

Megan I hope we can still be friends😂😂😂

I nominate:

(sorry if you’ve been nominated already, I just picked a bunch of random people.)

My questions:

-What are your thoughts on hats? Like baseball hats, or sun hats…do you like wearing them?

-What is your favorite and least favorite word?

-Favorite old movie? (as in like older than 2007)

-Would you rather live in a bird’s nest or a vacuum for a day?

-Your thoughts on stereotypical princess stories? (Aka, when girl is having some problem, leaves home, meets a dude, marries him, then happily ever after)

-Would you rather live without any eyelashes or without eyebrows for a day? (IDK, just roll with it.)

-Would you rather be fluent in French or Greek?

-Sweatpants or leggings?

-Hoodies or sweatshirts?

-Have you ever broken something important (like a plate or mug or something? I’ve broke one in a store. On my birthday. It was truly embarrassing. and that was when i realized that im a klutz)

-Do you prefer to use metaphors or similes? Why?

You’re Not REALLY Best Friends With Someone Until You’ve…

  1. Had at least one really deep conversation with them.
  2. Stood up for them in a fight.
  3. Insulted them (jokingly, of course) without them getting offended.
  4. Spammed them with really ugly, blurry, photos of yourself. For no apparent reason.
  5. Had one really long FaceTime call with them.
  6. Been to their house so much that you don’t have to ask “Where’s the bathroom?” anymore.
  7. Eaten food with them.
  8. Had at least one fight with them.
  9. Been in their car.
  10. Complimented them a bunch (jealously, obviously, but somewhat out of pure admiration too)
  11. Started hating someone they hate or that is mean to them.
  12. Seen them when they’re not glammed up or when they’re totally sick. (who am I kidding, your bff is always pretty sick. in a good way, of course.)
  13. Been in an embarrassing situation with them and they’ve helped you.
  14. Filled up your camera roll with pictures of and with them.
  15. Met their siblings and hung out with them.
  16. Listened to their music tastes.
  17. Tried on their clothes.
  18. Done something really sweet for their birthday.
  19. Come up with a million idiotic inside jokes that, for some reason, are hilarious.
  20. Done something really stupid with them that you have absolutely no regrets about.

I feel like a lot of people say, “Oh yeah, that person? S/he’s my best friend!” When none of this stuff has happened, and they’re not even super close.

So, totally not saying that if you’re friends with someone who doesn’t have these qualities, you should stop hanging out with them, but if there is that one person who DOES, and who still loves you and sticks with you, they are wayyyy more than qualified to be your best friend. ‘Kay? ‘Kay.

Sorry to SPRING this on you…

…but it’s March 3rd.

The first crocuses of Spring have come up, and I photographed them for you! (You’re welcome.)

Our tulips are coming up, too. ^^
This is my favorite picture!

Spring is by far my favorite season: there’s warm weather, which = cute clothes, my birthday, soccer, and ICE CREAM! What do you like about spring?

Oh, and I took these photos with a different camera: my dad just got a new one. Is the photo quality better? I can definitely notice a difference. OH, and soccer tryouts at school are coming up in two weeks! AHHHHHH! GTG practice!
What have all of you been up to lately?
