reputation world tour recap

JUNE 1, 2018

this queen made her entrance, and i was so not …ready for it. the stadium felt like holy ground. it was the best of times, the worst of crimes, she struck a match and blew my mind…

so it goes…

i was screaming long live all the magic we made, the walls we crashed through, because i had the time of my life fighting dragons with tay….

call it what you want, but i’ll salute to her, ’cause she’s my american queen. she’s so gorgeous, i couldn’t say anything to her face.

she has a big reputation, aaaaaaaaaaaa.

i didn’t wanna wear my jacket even though it was F R E E Z I N G. (but not cold as you.) idk why, i know i did something bad, but it just felt so good.

she might be queen of my heart, but she’s also just a girl trying to find a place in this world.

she is sensible, and SO incredible, and all you haters are jealous…

i felt like the lucky one when she came on the c stage. she was so close, i was enchanted…
i’m not one for dancing, but for her i did. all i did was shake, shake, shake, shake it off!

wow, she’s got style. look at that dress! (even though she only bought it so you could take it off)

stay beautiful, and know that you have a perfectly good heart, tay. we like you for you. ❤

it’s so magical, almost delicate, to think that i’ve been here, in her presence. isn’t it? isn’t it? isn’t it?

she made this night feel like wonderland, with all the flashing lights. she blew us one last kiss, and suddenly we were out of the woods. i wish i could call taylor and tell her how i’m only me when i’m with her, but she couldn’t come to the phone.

don’t blame me, tay made me crazy…at the end of the concert, i was crying on the staircase, begging her please don’t go….it was treacherous to say goodbye, but i truly had the best day.  this night was something out of one of my wildest dreams. tay, although i wish you would have invited me to the rep room, this love is something that will never die. (even though the old taylor did) i want to make sure you know, i will remember this all too well. ❤

my tyler joseph paper

The fans roar with excitement. “I LOVE YOU!” a girl screams, and it’s one of the many times he will hear those words tonight.  He grips the microphone, his heart swelling with pride and gratitude. He’s made it. He glances at his drummer and smiles.  Tyler Joseph, lead singer of the band Twenty Øne Pilots, begins to sing.

It isn’t his first time performing a concert, but tonight is just as special, because he knows his lyrics have saved someone’s life.  Tyler Joseph, lyrical genius, grew up in Columbus, Ohio, with his brothers Zack and Jay and his sister Madison.  His love of music began when he dug a keyboard out of his closet and began to sing and compose songs.  Tyler started Twenty Øne Pilots as a band with a few of his high school friends, and released his own EP album called “No Phun Intended”. The name Twenty One Pilots comes from a play Tyler was reading in college called All My Sons, where a man sent out faulty plane parts, and twenty-one pilots died as a result of that. Since TØP was created, drummer Josh Dun has joined the band, and their songs have gained popularity- a few have even gotten to the top of the charts.  Tyler and Josh even wrote a song for the movie Suicide Squad.  But perhaps what people like the most about TØP lyrics is how real they are and how they reflect real problems like mental illnesses. People of all ages can relate to the feelings of hopelessness and depression expressed in Tyler’s songs. These songs assure people that they are not alone in feeling suicidal or depressed, while also providing a sense of hope and a reason to not give up.  Many fans have even said that his music has saved their lives.

Besides Tyler Joseph’s successful music career, he has faced many difficulties along the way, some of which inspired his best and most relatable songs. Tyler Joseph struggles with bipolar disorder, which means he could be happy at one point and then suddenly sink into a deep depression. At 17, he learned that it’s possible to commit suicide by tying a noose to a kitchen sink and leaning forward.  His suicidal feelings took over him, and he attempted to take his life. His suicide attempt is what inspired his song Kitchen Sink, in which he says that a kitchen sink means something different to him than what it means to everyone else. His character “Blurryface” (mentioned in his most recent album) is a representation of his insecurities, as is wearing black paint on his neck and hands.

Tyler Joseph is now happily married & very successful with his music career. Twenty Øne Pilots is set to release a new album later this year.   It is a true blessing that Tyler failed to kill himself, because without him, others who’d contemplated suicide wouldn’t have the sense of hope that Tyler Joseph’s music gives them. “Sometimes to stay alive you gotta kill your mind,” and “Life has a hopeful undertone…” He sings.   Because he knows how it feels to want to end your life, his main goal is to help people get rid of their depression and suicidal thoughts.  Many of his lyrics reassure fans that he is there for them and that they will be alright. Tyler’s songs express the frustration that comes with feeling like the world is against you, but he also stated that the most important part of his career is encouraging his listeners to stay alive.

Twenty Øne Pilots will never be just another “emo” band.  So much time and so many emotions have gone into making this music, and the lyrics are far more meaningful than most assume. Tyler Joseph‒and all fans of Twenty-One Pilots- can’t wait for the next album. The end of the concert is greeted with thunderous applause and whistles. The neon stage lights stop flashing and the clapping is so loud it fills Tyler’s ears and heart. He stands on stage for just a few minutes longer than necessary, thanking each and every one of his fans, for not only has he saved them, but, in a way, they have saved him too.

hi everyone! a lot of you said you wanted to see my paper about tyler joseph, so here it is, completed!  i got an A on it 🙂 it was fun to write and to research, i actually learned a lot. i also was super happy that i could express my love for tøp in my schoolwork. 😛

hey everyone! i’m sorry it’s been so long. i’ve gotten halfway through a bunch of posts and then been too lazy to finish them up. i’ve been getting into a lot of new music lately and making a lot of art based off it, so you can expect an art post soon.

i went outside to take pictures, even though it’s really drab, with the hope that i could make some trees or other random things look pretty with my camera.

even though this swing set is old and creaky and will probably collapse if more than one person uses the swings/monkey bars at the same time, i love it and i never want to get rid of it. even when i’m in my senior year, i still want to go and sit on my swing or in my treehouse.

i tied this piece of lace onto my swing when i was younger so we could tell the difference between my swing and my brother’s swing. it used to be red, and even though it’s lost all its color now, it makes me happy to see it.

waterparks is a seriously underrated band

i blame you, loren.

please tell me why NONE OF MY BANDS make normal music videos, seriously. it’s a problem. i just watched one where the members of waterparks were dressed up as dogs, and then la devotee by panic! at the disco is a boy being lured into a lair and then being tortured.  anyway, we’re not here to talk about brendon urie.

waterparks is my new favorite band. (at least for the next 2 weeks, until i find a new band 😉 ) they’re seriously amazing.

here’s a list of songs you are required to should listen to by them:

//i’m a walking travesty//

hi! i’ve been doing more and more art lately, and most of it is based off of music and song lyrics. what else do you expect? honestly, i should call this blog  “my music obsession”.

this is from the music video for something’s gotta give by all time low.
aaah, alex is so attractive as a box of greasy french fries.

this is alex’s jacket from the dirty laundry music video. (i really want to make my own last young renegade jacket, help.) it came out better than i expected! i can never draw roses, but i like this one. 🙂
which one do you like more? alex as french fries, or alex in the really cute denim jacket that i want? XD

Why Taylor Swift is Amazing

1. She can diss someone through one of her songs, and it’s literally the best thing ever.
Some of my favorites include:
“Shining like fireworks over your sad, empty town”
“We are never ever EVER getting back together. Like ever.”
“All you are is mean. And a liar, and pathetic, and alone in life and mean.”
2. She. Is. So. Gorgeous. (I think it’s safe to say her 2008 hairstyle legit slays)
3. She has the best music videos. Ever seen the one for You Belong With Me?
4. She makes country songs sound good. I used to think country music was all like “Oh Susanna, I’ve been waiting for you with a banjo on my kneeee…” (LOL) but after hearing Fearless, I like (Well, only Taylor’s) country music. I listen to her old albums way more than I listen to her new ones.
5. Taylor has cats and no one dares to call her a crazy cat lady.
6. She bakes. ‘Nuff said. Move over and give me some Taylor-baked cookies.
7. She’s one of the most followed people on Instagram. (I don’t have Instagram but this is common knowledge)
8. Taylor doesn’t act like a bratty celebrity. She’s a girl doing what she loves, and she’s a really nice person. (Erm, she seems like one.)
9. Her lyrics. Gosh, they’re amazing.
Behold, the best lyrics of all time:
“When they point to the pictures, please tell them my name.” -Long Live
“Every time I don’t, I almost do…” -I Almost Do
“They are the hunters, we are the foxes—Love’s a fragile little flame it can burn out.” -I Know Places
“Now I know, that I’m not you’re princess, this ain’t a fairytale, I was a dreamer before you ever let me down.” -White Horse
“Never thought we’d have our last kiss. Never imagined we’d end like this. Your name forever the name on my lips…”-Last Kiss
“Wasn’t it easier in your lunchbox  days?—Who you are is not where you’ve been, you’re still an innocent.” -Innocent
“I lived in your chess game, but you changed the rules every day.” -Dear John
“And all we are is skin and bones, trained to get along.” -Treacherous
Yeah, and those aren’t even all of my favorites. XD
10. She has a gorgeous voice. In Wildest dreams, the vocals are just AMAZING! 🎶in your wildest dreams, Ohhhhhh, aaaahhhh. Wildest dreams, oh Aaaah…🎶 Her high voice is just as good as her low voice.
11. She can speak in the middle of her songs and it doesn’t sound weird. How???            Examples:
In the background of Better Than Revenge, she says, “Think about what you did.”
From 22- Tay says, “Who’s Taylor Swift anyway?”
The Story of Us- the parts where she says “Next chapter.” And the very abrupt ending, “The End.” They’re SO good!
12. She’s pretty with or without makeup.
13. She has a ton of friends-some are celebrities, some aren’t- but she makes time for all of them.
14. She’s patriotic. #Taymerica
15. Her songs are easy to memorize.
16. Taylor’s won like 8 Grammy awards!!
17.  She ROCKS red lipstick. How does she do it??? Spill your secrets, Tay. How do you pull of a bright lip and not look like a clown???? AND how do you make that your signature good look???
18. She interacts with her family and is extremely supportive of them and especially her brother. Lucky you, Austin!
19. She will write a song about you if you do something to her. Life Advice: Don’t break up with Taylor Swift, or she will write a song about you and how horrible you are, and the best part is you won’t know what hit you.
20.  I never get tired of listening to her songs. The only one that’s overplayed for me is Bad Blood.
21. You can make SOO many T.S. References with her song names.
22.Her song 22 is super upbeat, and it’s about living life and having fun. WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE???
23. Almost all her songs are clean. Sad as it is, it’s extremely hard to find popular, catchy songs that are clean but not wheels-on-the-bus-like. You know what I mean?
24. She doesn’t care about the haters. Go Taylor, and don’t let em get to ya. After all, the hater’s gonna hate, right? Just shake it off. 😉
25. The vampire didn’t bite Taylor Swift. Why? Because she had bad blood!
HA, I’m so funny XD
26. She takes pics with her fans- I know a lot of people do this but not everyone does…
27. She takes the trouble to do interviews, which is really respectable.
28. She has a GORGEOUS house, and in case you are wondering “Creep alert, how do you know what her house looks like?!?”, I promise I’m not a stalker (love ya Taylor but not THAT much haha) it was in her VOGUE interview.
29. Her songs are sometimes slow, then they pick up and sound really good.
30. It’s  always fun to watch the behind-the-scenes of her videos. Out Of The Woods has a great one. (How did you know I’m listening to that song as I type this?)
31. Her eyes are a reeeeally unique, pretty shade of blue.
32. She learned guitar at a young age and has rocked at playing it. (I REALLY need to practice my clarinet. *cringes*)
33. Her fans are called something normal. Swifties, you’re lucky you’re not called Beleibers.😂
34. Her songs are meaningful. She wrote a beautiful one for her mom called ‘The Best Day’. It’s from her album Fearless, and she said it makes her emotional when she sings it. Listen to it and you’ll know why.♥️
So, Dear John Mayer, why’d you dump her again?! And you, Calvin Harris. I want an explanation. (Okay, well that wasn’t really his fault. But still!)

Taylor deserves better-she Should’ve Said No.
Stay Beautiful, Tay!

What’s your favorite T.S. song?

Reblog this post if you love Taylor Swift!
